Our Pearl Quality

Cultured Pearls come in a range of qualities. Hazel & Marie pearls are all freshwater pearls, which can be round, oval, off-round, ringed and baroque.  We love to use various types of pearls which provide unique and one of a kind styles along with classic round AA quality pearl jewelry. 

Typical pearl colors are white, cream, yellow, pink, silver, or black. A pearl can also have a hint of secondary color, or overtone, which is seen when light reflects off the pearl surface. We use dyed pearls which have gone through a natural dying process to create beautiful and natural shades.  

At Hazel & Marie we design with a variety of natural styles and believe that the unique growth of a pearl enhances the beauty of the jewelry.  Our highest quality pearls are AA quality with the smoothest surface.
